Renae. Again. I hope you aren't getting tired of these--my goal was to make every picture as distinct as possible, so they didn't appear repetitive.

For those who want to know shoot details, we went to three different locations, and had very little time because the sun was setting (as seen in the first photo I posted). Hence why the lighting is different in nearly all of the pictures I took. You know how difficult it is to find nature living in a city? I have plenty more of ones like this, as well as more from the burned down house. A point I should make about the burned down house featured in the photos "Survivalism" and "The Anointed One": it was a SUPER creepy house to begin with. I'd actually been hoping to take photos there, one day. Nobody lived in it, and yet its porch light was constantly on. When we were driving around looking for another location, I thought of the house and was all, "Renae! Tally ho to the creepy house!" And that's when I noticed it burned down (Renae mentioned the fire department didn't even bother trying to save it because, again, nobody lived in it. For years.) and, lo and behold, even burned down it looked freaking creepy. If the thing isn't cleaned up before the next shoot with Renae, we'll be doing some more pictures at Creepy Burned Down House I'm Convinced Might Be Haunted. You know, for your viewing pleasure. And also, in case you haven't noticed, I have a fascination with things looking weird.

The entire series:

The Anointed One
In a Pretend World
Survivalism
The Vanishing
Firewalk
Shadowscape

Edit: I'm resubmitting this without the blurred background. In 2007, it was something I used to keep the focus on the subject, but I don't feel that this is necessary anymore. I also enlarged the watermark, as this image has been stolen too frequently.

It is through art, and through art only, that we can realize our perfection; through art and art only that we can shield ourselves from the sordid perils of actual existence.
